New TYPEFACE, that is! Ahahaha!

As observant readers will infer, I have changed the name of my graphic design business.

The reason: because I was tired of people telling me that I spelled “great” wrong.  In fact, when I tried to get the web hosting company to change my domain from “madegrate.com” to “friendfriend.net”… THEY COULD NOT UNDERSTAND THAT GRATE WAS NOT SPELLED “GREAT”. “M-a-d-e-g-r-a-t-e dot com,” I would say.  “Yeah, M-a-d-e-g-r-e-a-t dot com,” said the Bluehost technical support employee. “I told you, I’m not finding that domain.”

Anyway, goodbye madegrate.com… and hello FRIEND! If you can’t spell FRIEND, it is your fault, not mine. Friend is a pretty happy word, and I think that the design process can bring a lot of happiness too, so I think the name is a good fit. I also like the relationship that the word friend implies… just like a relationship between the user and a well-designed object.
