The Kroller-Muller Museum!

Last weekend we went on a terrific expedition to what is now my favorite museum in The Netherlands – the Kröller-Müller museum, located inside De Hoge Veluwe national park (in the eastern region of the country). De Hoge Veluwe park is over 20 sq mi in area, and is stocked with white bicycles which are free for tourist use (only within the park of course!).

From the museum website:

The Kröller-Müller Museum is named after Helene Kröller-Müller (1869-1939). Helene Kröller-Müller collected almost 11,500 art objects with the help of her art advisor.

We didn’t actually have enough time to go inside the museum because it took hours to get out there! I think we took three trains and two buses. But we did check out the huge and amazing sculpture garden:

You could climb inside this one! Awesome!
